Starting A Team

Get Your Friends 'On the Line'




A team is a group of your closest friends and/or relatives. 


That's where it starts. 
It's simple.


I got 5 of my friends ON THE LINE to call 808.699.6311.

 I created my circle with them...and the rest is history.

We started off encouraging each other daily to  take our RealW8, drink our water and eat great food.

Real Food. 

We tell great stories, have fun, laugh, share our lives.
We rely on each other to celebrate each and every pound we lose and each and every inch we abandon!

We have a GREAT time!

And... We're LOSING WEIGHT. And people notice.

And then they ask us... 

What are you doing? They not only notice our weight loss, they notice our Happiness... our Spring in our Step... our Positiveness! 

After sharing,  my friends now have their own circles, and those now have friends that want their own circles. So we ALL have become coaches, cheering and celebrating everyone's weight loss and renewed outlook on life.

As we journey this path, there are powerful, wonderful changes happening. 

We not only help you  lose weight, we help you to become the person you've always wanted to be. 
Through friendships, support, family,  camaraderie, we form bonds. 
Bonds that transform lives.
 Become a leader... gain independence, confidence... shine as a winner! 
Make a difference in someone's life. 
Be that difference.

Weight Loss - Where to Start


So, You Want to Lose Weight...

If you're here, then you've already started. You have to begin somewhere...and where it all starts is in your mind...and in your heart. Congratulations...you've taken Your first step to a new, healthier you. :)

Where We Started with Weight Loss


The Heavy...

First off, let me post our pictures now so you don't have to read any further and wonder if we are successful with weight loss and maintenance. My mom has lost OVER 140lbs. and I've lost over 70lbs. :) And we celebrate it EVERY DAY!

For me, the short story is:
My husband and I were living in New Orleans and lived through Hurricane Katrina. As a result of that evacuation, we ended up living in a Hotel for a full YEAR. Eating where ever and when ever we could in a nearby city with limited resources. We both gained a lot of weight and frankly, didn't mind because we were grateful to be alive.
When we returned home, to Hawaii, we were just happy to be here. No matter what our weight was.
But, our weight loss journey began... out of need, for someone ELSE.

When we got home, my mom, at her heaviest on the right here, was wearing compression stockings on her legs. Her blood pressure was out of control. She could barely walk from short, short distances without stopping to rest or give her aching knee some time to stop hurting.
We were all just 'dealing with it'. Mostly because, well... you know how it goes. We had all, in our past, TRIED IT ALL!  You name it, we'd tried it... and basically, we were all grateful to be alive and to be together... so we had just resolved for it to be our 'fate'.

Weight Loss Help

Something had to give. My mom's health was just too rocky. We started on the Wellnessbridge plan and were successful with it.  But, in January, we got a call from our Coach, Brandy, to tell us about RealW8. We made the commitment, as a family- Mom, Dad, Me, Husband, and my Adult Son, to all do this together. To be our own circle of support to my mom. To help her get to her goal- which is Health and Wellness.
Now, I am so lucky and honored to be coaching others to their weight loss goals and teaching them to coach THEIR family and friends to weight loss goals. :)

Alicia and John's Crustless Apple Pie



Alicia and John's Crustless Apple Pie


Gather:
Fruit: we use 1 fruit per person in the recipe and adjust everything else to that size
For this, we are serving 4
2 pear
2 apples
a little lemon (to squeeze on the fruit to keep it from browning in the air)
3 stevia packets
some butter (to your preference)
cinnamon
vanilla
heavy whipping cream


Slice the apples and the pears.

Melt your butter in a large saucepan.


Sprinkle out some cinnamon (to taste) we used about a Tbsp here

Pour out some vanilla (we used about a tsp here)

Open your Stevia packets


Add all 3, cinnamon, stevia  and vanilla to the cooking apples.

Saute until apples are soft. (approx 5 minutes or so-check with a fork, if fork can pierce apple easily, they are done)


As the apples and pears cook, prep your whipped cream.
You'll need heavy whipping cream, some vanilla, and a stevia for this. It's best to place the whipping cream in a VERY cold bowl to it to whip up well.
Pour the whipping cream in the bowl, add some vanilla, and stevia packet.I just really guess at this part.
How can you ever have too much whipped cream?


Whip to Soft Peaks

See the 'soft peaks' formed. It's done.

Dish out the apples and pears, top with Fresh Whipped Cream!

My son swears this is technically NO adobo...
but oh well... My Lela and Lelo made it like this for 
all their lives and called it that... so it is, what it is. :)

brown chicken, and I mean BROWN it up...
with garlic in a large pot
(sometimes I have to do this in SMALL batches for it to brown up)
(I use about 8 chicken thighs for 4-5 people, and a small amount of garlic, you have to figure out to your taste)
add vinegar to taste, (for 8 chicken thighs I use about 1/4 C vinegar)
add tomato (for 8 chicken thighs I used *about* half a small tomato)
-----------
cook down tomato until it shrivels a bit
----------
pour filtered fresh water over chicken until chicken is just covered

simmer with lid slightly ajar until most of the liquid is cooked off

remove lid, turn heat up, stir and brown until chicken is ... well... 'adobo-y' 

lol- This is how cooks cook... you gotta cook to your 'taste' :)

Alicia and John's
Marinated Fresh Vegetable Salad:
2 C each
celery-sliced
cauliflower- thinly sliced
grape tomatoes-halved
cucumber-sliced
onion-thinly sliced
carrots-thinly sliced
------------------------toss together
Dressing
3/4 C. olive oil
3 Tbsp White Wine Vinegar
1 Clove garlic, minced
1 tsp salt (opt)
1 tsp ground mustard
1/8 tsp. pepper
---------whisk dressing together--------
pour dressing over veggies ... refrigerate over night

Tomato Cucumber Guacamole Salad

1 pint box cherry tomatoes, halved
2 med cucumber, coarsely chopped
2 Avocado - coarsely chopped 
1/4 C chopped onion
1 1/2 Tbsp lime juice (fresh)
1 tsp grated lime rind
1/2 tsp ground cumin
salt/pepper to taste (opt)
Mix

Fresh sour cream
Stevia
splash of Vanilla

It's Time. There just really isn't an easier way to put it. It's Time.
Obesity is a Nationwide epidemic and America is in trouble! 
Let's say that AGAIN...
Obesity is a Nationwide epidemic and America is in trouble! 

Raise your hand if you think you need to lose weight. Raise your hand if you KNOW someone that needs to lose weight. I would bet that right now, everyone's hand is UP! 

That is the hard truth of it all. Everyone, EVERYONE needs to lose weight or is very close to someone who needs to lose weight. It's an overweight majority.

There are lots of reasons to lose weight, but truly, the #1 reason to lose weight is to gain Health and Wellness. 

As you lose weight, your body starts to perform better... you can help your body help you live longer, healthier, and happier.

Our Team of amazing Coaches have now started a movement that has taken on a life of it's own. As a group of devoted community members, our coaches have set out and put into motion a series of events that has already been creating inspiration in our local communities. Every day we have new individuals joining the movement to bring RealW8 awareness to the public. We have already had 100's of success stories, people who are looking and feeling better in a matter of DAYS!! These women and men are paving the path for all the RealW8 success to come!
